Breast Reduction Surgery
Big breasts have been a big problem for many women since time immemorial. Large breasts cause pain in the back, distort body posture, cause hunchbacks, lower back pain and back pain. They also cause hygiene problems under the breast, cause diaper rash in the heat and often lead to dermatitis and fungal infections. In addition to all this, it has a negative visual impact on women, leading to psychological wear and tear, lack of self-confidence, embarrassment and introversion. Treatment of breast size is undoubtedly a solution to a health problem, a solution to a visual aesthetic problem and a solution to a psychological problem.
According to the applicant woman's body type, breast size and type, it is necessary to choose one of the many existing defined breast reduction techniques. These techniques are determined by the surgeon according to the reduction rate, where the scar will be located and where the nipple will be fed (i.e. blood flow).
Health status is very important for candidates considering this surgery. Additional chronic diseases, smoking and alcohol use may adversely affect postoperative success and may lead to delayed wound healing. Therefore, smoking and alcohol should be quit and if there is an underlying chronic disease (e.g. diabetes), this disease should be under control.
After breast reduction surgery, a circular scar around the nipple, a vertical scar extending downward from the nipple, and a scar along the breast fold in larger breasts remain. These scars fade over time but do not disappear completely. The type of scar that is left depends on the individual's constitution and the body's reaction to the scar. In some cases, we can use appropriate laser treatments to keep the scar better.
Breast reduction surgery is performed under general anesthesia. Generally, the patient is discharged after one night of hospitalization. The elbows are kept for 1 or 2 days (to prevent blood or fluid accumulation inside). The patient can return to work in about 1 week. Although it is not a very painful surgery in general, the pain in the first 2-3 days can be easily overcome with painkillers.
In breast reduction surgery, some of the milk ducts are cut, so there is a risk of not being able to give milk after surgery.
With the treatment of breast size, patients feel lighter, recurrent dermatitis and fungal infections disappear, they can choose clothes that suit them, their self-confidence increases and they can continue their lives more happily.
